Fantasy Brown
Fantasy Brown is a natural dolomite known for its flowing layers of brown, taupe, cream, gray, and white. Its dramatic movement gives it the elegant appearance often associated with marble, while dolomite is generally harder than traditional marble. Each slab has unique color variation and veining, making Fantasy Brown a distinctive choice for kitchen countertops, bathroom vanities, islands, and other interior surfaces.
Description
Fantasy Brown Dolomite is a natural stone featuring sweeping movement and layered tones of brown, taupe, cream, gray, and white. Because it is a natural material, every slab is unique, with variations in color, veining, pattern, and movement.
Fantasy Brown is sometimes marketed in the stone industry as granite, marble, or “hard marble.” Our supplier classifies this material as dolomite, which is how we identify it at AMF.
Dolomite offers characteristics that fall somewhat between traditional marble and granite. It is generally harder and more scratch-resistant than many traditional marbles, but it is not as resistant to scratching or acidic substances as granite. Like other natural carbonate stones, Fantasy Brown can etch when exposed to acidic liquids such as lemon juice or vinegar.
Fantasy Brown is well suited for kitchen countertops, islands, bathroom vanities, bar tops, fireplace surrounds, and other interior applications. We recommend viewing and selecting your actual slab whenever possible, as the appearance of Fantasy Brown can vary significantly from slab to slab.
